Did you like The Screwtape letters? Satire in general? Then don’t miss this atheist vs. religion article. Thanks to Kieth @ Children’s Ministry and Culture.

Entry #103 from John’s journal of shame…:

Once, when I was younger & more idealistic about the world (aka: when I didn’t yet give in to the global domination of Microsoft). I tried to get initiated into a blogger gang. It would have been great. Just think – we could have terrorized other bloggers or heckled someone famous or even wrote about how Al Gore invented the internet and then been quoted by the national media as a ‘credible source’. But I didn’t make the cut. They texted me some garbage about how my rants weren’t ranty enough and my secrets weren’t secrety enough and my viral posts weren’t viral enough. “no moor comnts loosr cul8r ” was the last I heard from them. The Good news? I did pass the blogging gang sign test. That knowledge should bear fruit later in life probably at the same magnitude as algebraic functions…

Oh – and this is kid’s tv today? Yo What?

Who hasn’t thought, “If every member of my church / organization / save the blue spotted red bellied turtle group gave only $XX a month, we’d have no budget problems ever”?  Obama might be bringing that philosophy back — see Phil Cooke’s article on learning to fundraise from Obama.

A great post about a group of people trying to lead a church along a vision, and the freedom that comes from realizing that you can’t please everyone – from Scott Hodge.

Knowing who you are is important. Knowing how you can leverage yourself is crucial. See Seth’s post about the Danny Devitos in the world.

I’ve got to say it while I can: The Cubbies are the best team in the majors! Whoo Hoo!
