Giveaway Question of the Week
By John | August 25, 2008

As I promised last week, I’ve got a copy of Mark Batterson’s Wild Goose Chase to give away. Since this book is all about encouraging us to take risks for God and to go on adventures for His kingdom, I want to hear about an adventure would would like to go on. Maybe it’s a mission trip to an exotic country, taking a new job in a new city, or even inviting children into your home by being foster/adoptive parents.
Whatever your dream adventure might be, write about it in a comment below, and on Friday I’ll pick one winner at random from the list and send you a free copy of Wild Goose Chase. How easy is that!
Dream Big!!!

This may seem like a silly wild dream for someone 72, but I want to start visiting shut-ins, and pray to God, He will give me the right words that I (we) will be a comfort for them. When you have been raised Lutheran in Minnesota it sometimes can be hard to share your faith out loud with others. God be with me.

All right Anita!
Thanks for sharing one of your dream adventure. Once again, we’re all reminded that there is plenty of ‘mission’ work to be done right in our communities.
What are some of the next steps it will take to get you connected with shut-ins? Who do you talk to? What resources (print, cds, etc…) can you use? I hope that you start on this adventure ASAP!
BTW: Wild Goose Chase is yours!

Dear John, Oh Boy! Thanks. To answer your questions, first I talk with God. We have a great resource at our church, Pastor Otte, He is a counselor. Also I’ve been trained as a Stephens minister. However, that isn’t instant courage, but I know things will go great.

So John you got me thinking about resources and how we can get connected. Why is it we are afraid to share and ask people about God? Whats the wost thing someone can do? Shut the door in your face? If you think about that is not much of a sacrifice considering what others of gone through before us. I know this is not much of a dream adventure, but now you got me thinking!!!
