Ok, so just about everyone was watching the Super Bowl last night, and you probably have spent the day talking about two categories in relation to it.
First, happy or sad about the outcome of the game?
Obviously if you’re a Steelers or Cards fan, your choice is made clear, but what about the rest of you? Personally, I was kind of cheering for the Cards- chance to win one finally and the Kurt Warner story put me in their corner slightly, though I was mostly rooting for a good game (check!). Happy for the Steelers though too, they’re a good solid team and played well. Any reactions to the game as a Christian? What about all the chippy stuff going on.
And of course, we have to talk about the commercials. You can click here to view or review if you’d like. What was your favorite and least favorite? Any that you think Jesus would have particularly liked or disliked?

The commercials seem to get more juvenile every year, with women’s dresses flying off and privates getting snow-globed (thanks, Doritos).
Here’s one banned commercial I really would have liked to have seen. No, it’s not the PETA ad. Check it out:

The Kurt Warner story had me cheering for the Cardinals as well, although I must confess I do not understand the rules of the game! I didn’t pay much attention to the commercials because I used that time as an opportunity to do something else but what I did see I wasn’t all that impressed with. I was shocked that some of it was even allowed to be shown!
Darin,
I didn’t have a chance to look at this commercial until today. That really was a powerful one. I agree with many of the people on that blog posting that they like the prolife take combined with an edgy though not overly confrontational style.
