Now that we’ve entered the season of Lent, I was curious if anyone has used the web as part of their seasonal preparations?  If so, how?

There are a lot of great sites out there.  I know it’s a Catholic site, but the resouces at NewAdvent are generally very good.  This is an encyclopedia type site with information on most theological and Biblical topics.  You can check out it’s entry on Lent here.

Another site with a lot of resources is TheVoice, which is more evangelical in character, but again has an array of resources and readings on topics from the Scripture to worship to simple faqs.  Here’s it’s entry on Lent, which is relatively concise and readable.

Otherwise, if you want to check out something a little on the lighter side, look at this video entitled, “Lent Song” on Tangle (GodTube’s new name).  It’s pretty funny in an Adam Sandleresque video.  Or you can google Lent cartoons and check them out.
