I have to admit, when I first got the email, I wondered if it was one that had been exaggerated. Snopes didn’t answer my question, but when I read news stories at BBC.com and in some other places, I had my questions answered- this was for real.
It’s an amazing testimony today. Noah faced the ridicule of those around him because they didn’t trust in his God. They probably thought what he was doing was ridiculous and pointless. I’m sure many feel the same way about Johann Huibers and his project today.
I take this as the testimony of a man who will simply trust God. He may or may not ever have to deal with an actual flood, but he is working in the face of popular opposition.
