Have you ever read the forward about laminins? They’re kind of a natural glue that holds the body together and they happen to form a shape that’s of great significance to Christians. Check it out.
So what do you think?
Do you find it empowering that one of the building blocks of the human body forms a cross? Do you see this as one of those cool-gives-you-little-shivers moments or do you go along with Snopes take which is that this is mostly coincidence?
Well, I have to say that I think this is kind of a cool illustration to say the least. I would agree with Answersingenesis that you don’t reason from this discovery to the truth of the cross, but I think this is the kind of piece that can help illustrate things for people and definitely is a power-packed reminder. God is everywhere. Everything does ultimately point to the necessity of the cross.
I think this forward also reminds us of the fact that Jesus is in fact our sustainer and the sustainer of all creation. Too often we seem to act like he is the watchmaker who set creation to going and then just kind of leaves things to their own ends. I do believe that we have a rational universe and God set up laws and designed things so they would function in scientific/relatively predictable ways, but we can never forget that underneath it all he continues to sustain it in an amazing and miraculous way.
