As much as I'm into putting Jesus out there however possible and taking down barriers, I agree that the only way we can truly introduce Jesus to people is through his body, the Church. It's a challenge that gives me a gut check on a daily basis. I guess a good Lutheran would call that drowning the Old Adam and rising daily to the New. I’m glad we’re focusing on “marketing” Jesus through our own lives. Their radio spots and billboards are simple, but require the end user to go directly to their site, you probably wouldn't just stumble upon them. Also, google ad words can be pricey - so you end up with the bigger, national organizations getting the sponsored placements. Shouldn't some of our local churches come up in those searches? It'd be nice - but I don't think we can expect non-believers to come to our churches based on marketing - it is only through personal relationships that we can truly share what it means to follow Jesus.
