Summer Fun @ Evergreen

Well, this is our fun and exciting plan to keep people connected in a common mission during these beautiful summer months:

1. 6:11 Picnics: When you’re in town for church, come on Saturday nights.  After worship at 5pm, there will be a potluck picnic.  We’ll provide the grill/grillmaster/meat, you bring a dish to share and all the picnic stuff for your family.  In June, we’ll even show kids movies like Cars, Horton Hears a Who,  & Wall-E in the gym at 7pm. All the stuff you need for a cheap, fun family night!  By the way – check out John 6:11.
2. Revs on the Road:  When you’re out of town for the weekend, take a ‘Flat Pastor’ with you.  These little ‘life-like’ paper pastors can be tucked away in your suitcase and unleashed whenever a good picture opportunity presents itself.  Send the pictures back to church so that we can all share in your fun.  But more importantly, when you ask someone to take your picture with this silly ‘Flat Pastor’, they’ll ask you what in the world you’re doing.  And there’s the opportunity to be the church and share with them how cool Jesus (and your church!) really is.  Check out revsontheroad online!
3. Social Media: We’re going to use Twitter & Facebook to be connected even stronger.  If you already use these tools, be ready to receive updates.  Follow us on twitter – @evergreencampus.  If you’re not sure what social media are all about, we’re going to offer a seminar after Sunday worship a few times over the summer that will de-mystify these great tools!
